WORKFORCE FOR THE FUTURE SITE VISIT: AGILE HOMES

Fill in the form below to apply to join us for this Agile Homes site visit as part of our Workforce for the Future series.

Agile Homes’ Tam is a unique, prefabricated, rapid-response housing solution that enables the delivery of high quality, low-carbon affordable modular homes in new and innovative ways. Their homes are made of super-insulated straw and timber panels, made off-site then transported and assembled on-site to make a home. The walls, floors and roof can take as little as a day to erect and can be ready to occupy in 6 weeks. Their flat-pack panels mean that they can build homes in exciting and unusual locations, unlocking value and delivering much needed new homes – quickly. Like conventional housing, a Tam also has a minimum 60 year Design Life and meets National Space Standards, Building Regulations and the Future Homes Standard. Agile Homes lift people back on to the Property Ladder by rebuilding its missing rungs.

About Workforce for the Future

The West of England Workforce for the Future programme has received £4m of funding from the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
